Each treatment was repeated five times to ensure the accuracy of the results. The observed parameters included the percentage of living planlets, visualization of planlets (consisting of the percentage of green planlet, brownish green, and brownish), plant height, number of leaves, number of roots, root length, wet weight, and dry weight.

Results

The results of this study showed that the treatment of cayenne pepper varieties had a significant effect on all parameters except visualization of brownish green planlets. Varieties of Sigantung, Wijaya, Bara, Genie, and Hanna 08 showed variations in the ability to survive and grow under drought stress conditions, as well as a response to putresin. The concentration of putresin also had a significant impact on almost all observed parameters, indicating that the application of putresin can increase plant resistance to environmental stress.
