PT. Inti Jaya Metals uses a flow shop system based on orders received (make to order) in their production process. However, the company relies on the First Come First Served (FCFS) method, which has proven ineffective in meeting customer demand. This study aims to explore the use of a genetic algorithm approach in production scheduling to reduce the time of delay in the delivery of products to consumers.
