Introduction

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM type 2) is a chronic metabolic disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. This indicates that patients with type 2 DM and hypertension have higher levels of HS-CRP, which can indicate the presence of systemic inflammation. The Pearson correlation test also shows a significant relationship between HS-CRP and total cholesterol and HDL in both groups. In addition, there are significant differences in HS-CRP levels based on cardiovascular risk groups with P = 0.001.
