Introduction

Materials and Methods

In this study, we used synthetic solutions containing 0.685 mg Nano3 and 0.716 mg KH2PO4 mixed into 5 liters of distilled water. The corrosion rate of each electrode was measured using the weight ratio method.

With this result, it can be concluded that although aluminum electrodes have high allowance efficiency, the corrosion rate is quite significant. Conversely, iron electrodes show good performance in terms of nitrate and phosphate allowance efficiency, while considering a lower corrosion rate compared to aluminum.

The selection of precise electrodes is very important to maximize the efficiency of the electrocoagulation process. Based on the results of this study, iron electrodes (Fe) are a better choice because of a combination of high allowance efficiency and lower corrosion rate.
